Kate DeAraugo has
just won this year's Australian Idol, after out-voting Emily Williams
at the Sydney Opera House
For
Kate, her Idol journey began three years ago with the disappointment
of failing to impress the judges at auditions - a down moment that
inspired her to continue her dream and fight harder to achieve her
goals. The young vocalist from Bendigo must be a great role model for
aspiring young performers across the nation. Not only has the trained
singer continued to develop her voice, but she has also transformed
her image, from self-professed dag to renowned diva. It's been an
amazing metamorphosis.
On the other side of the tracks, Emily
Williams defied a tough up-bringing to use her talents and reach
Australians with her naturally soulful voice. Perhaps being used to
hardship made Emily's difficult Idol journey a little easier. Having
to progress as a Wildcard, the gifted mum used her opportunity to win
the hearts of our massive national audience. Soon, Emily was no
longer just the judges' choice - she earned a huge fan-base that has
helped her to survive the tough competition.
What do both these
girls have in common with the best Sales Professionals:
They learn from
rejection and understand that when someone says ?No? it might
well mean just ?No thanks, not yet!?.
They take feedback
and grow from it.
They love what they
do, and it shows just by talking to them.
Family and Friends
are their biggest fans.
Have you got what it
takes to become Australian ?Sales? Idol?
